A little bit country

by Jenelle Dronkers

For whatever reason I tend to feel sexiest and most like myself when I dress a little bit country. Maybe I was a pioneer woman in my past life, or a lumberjack’s wifey. The November catalog from Urban Outfitters is here and I fell in love with the romantic images.

Fashion Icon: Jackie O

by Jenelle Dronkers

I am currently going through my closet and taking inventory of things I will eventually need to purchase to make this fall fashion season a success for myself. Getting dressed every morning is a funny thing. I absolutely loathe some days of going through my closet and on others I already have my complete outfit picked out and ready to go. People’s best works and efforts come from when they are feeling inspired. Maybe I am not inspired at 8am. This is a note to self to STRIKE while i am inspired and create that darling outfit before I lose all motivation by 8am the next morning. Noted.

I have already purged myself of things that no longer fit and as always I promised to come up with three outfits I can wear these future items with!!!! (Self talk to combat guilt– tips from Nina Garcia in The Little Black Book of Style).

Right now I am loving former first lady Jackie Kennedy. Well, I have always loved her since I wrote an amazing biography about her. She could be one strong woman and had a very important role during the Kennedy presidency. But onto fashion. Today I was at Forever 21 and found the most amazing delicate tweed pea coat that I proceeded to prance around in and ask my mom, “do i look like Jackie O??” She said to my surprise that I actually did and I bought that sucker.

Enjoy her beauty.

I might be wearing pearl earrings right now.
